New York City's OneNYC sustainability plan created under Mayor Bill de Blasio includes an ambitious "0X30" Zero Waste goal to not send any waste to landfills by the year 2030. To achieve that goal the city is ramping up its organics collection for residential and commercial outlets among other avenues for waste reduction including: reduce, donate, swap, reuse, and recycle. This large poster advertising the goal was at a bus stop on Vanderbilt Avenue in Brooklyn's Prospect Heights neighborhood. Hopefully it makes people stop, read and reflect, if even briefly, on what they can do on a regular basis to decrease their waste output.
